   The gibbon crossed the forest canopy by swinging rapidly from branch to branch.

Borrowed from French gibbon. Its deeper source is uncertain, but it is commonly linked to a word in a Northern Aslian language of the Malay Peninsula, such as Batek kəboɲ or a related form referring to a gibbon.
