   The four points form a quasi-parallelogram whose opposite displacements are only approximately equivalent.

Formed from quasi- ("as if; approximately") + parallelogram. Russell used the term in his account of Weyl's geometry, and later mathematical writing uses it for figures or identities that retain a weakened parallelogram property.
