   The editor will subjoin a chronology to the final chapter.

Borrowed in the sixteenth century from French subjoindre, from Latin subiungere, 'to attach or add,' built from sub- ('under; in addition') + iungere ('to join, yoke'). Its modern use is chiefly formal and refers to adding text or information at the end.
